HELP SAVE THE STOCK POND

Wyoming landowner Andrew Johnson is being unfairly threatened with fines of up to $75,000 per day by the EPA for building a legal stock pond on his private land. This story has recently been featured on foxnews.com, the Glenn Beck show, KSL Utah and several other news agencies. The Johnson family has received support from several US Senators of this injustice. The EPA has claimed that under the Clean Water Act that a violation has occurred in regards to the stock pond which was constructed by Johnson himself nearly two years ago. The EPA has threatened Johnson if he doesn't immediately remove the pond that he would face civil fines and even CRIMINAL prosecution if he does not comply.
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE....and a prime example of the federal government over reaching their bounds!
The facts are these:
Mr. Johnson obtained all the necessary permissions and permits from the state of Wyoming to build his stock pond on his private property.
In the state of Wyoming, all stock ponds are exempt from the 404 permit.
The EPA has made unfair and unwarranted assessments on their interpretation of this violation going against state agencies and other case law examples.
The EPA sent Mr. Johnson a 60 page administrative order with false claims and assessments demanding the immediate removal of the stock pond.
The state of Wyoming has written Mr. Johnson, stating that he is in good standing and the stock pond is compliant exactly as permitted.
The stock pond holds native trout species, waterfowl and local wildlife.
We are free to choose life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness under the US constitution. We the people have the inherent right, within the laws and regulations of this country, to not be threatened or be unfairly persecuted by any person or group including a government agency like the EPA. The Clean Water Act was not violated and the EPA needs to immediately drop this compliance. In no way does this private stock pond effect the environment in a negative manor. In fact, this stock pond is a benefit to the local Eco-system in southwest Wyoming.

Shouldn't the State of Wyoming be assisting in this assault on their citizens? I appreciate the Senators who are sending letters, but this should be something that the AG gets involved with, right?

ReplyDeleteAnthony Johnson...just unbelievable the tirade this government is raining down on it's citizens, I am behind you and will continue to post often. I just wanted to tell you a lot of people like me who is on social security are broke right now in the middle of the month. I totally agree asking for 1.00 from the millions out there will help, just please get your story out there just before the first of the month, whether on ssi ssd or welfare on the first of the month no one cares if they send you a dollar. If you publish more at that time you will get more response, I will send more on the first to you and yours, keep up the good fight. Never turn your backs on them, stay safe and keep your family safe. Good luck I will be praying.
